The Galapagos Hawk (Buteo galapagoensis) is endemic to the Galapagos Islands and it is the only raptor that occurs on the islands. The adult bird in flight here was on Hood Island in August, 2010. This shot was taken with a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and a Sigma 50-500mm lens.
